Who we are:

The Waaberi Community Development Association (WACODA) is a non-profit charity organization. The charity registration number is 1080303. Waaberi was established on December 1997 for the benefit of deserved Somali Refugees and asylum seekers who are living in South London and surrounding area specifically Streatham and Lambeth in general. Its main aims are as follows:

      • To relief poverty
      • To advance education
      • Preserve and protect health
      • Provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation of leisure

And its mission is also to relieve poverty, to advance education, preserve and protect health as well as sustainable developments of mainly Somalis in UK and Eastern Africa. Waaberi’s services and activities are as follows: 

  1. Language Classes (English-ESOL, Somali, Arabic…)
  2. Supplementary Class
  3. Youth Developmental Programmes
  4. Arts & Culture  
  5. IT & Computer Training
  6. General Advice & Counselling
  7. European Youth Exchange Programmes
  8. Employment Empowerment Network
  9. Sports, Eurosom & Summer play schemes
  10. Developmental Projects in Somalia
